PHYTOTOXICOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT OF METALS HAZARD BY PLANT UP-TAKING
Abstract
Phytotoxicological assessment of the metals hazard by means of plant up-taking in natural ecosystems is proposed. The results of the metals concentration in soil and plants in Green Park zones of Kyiv are highlighted. The bioaccumulation index is calculated in ecosystem throughout the studied area. According to the bioaccumulation index, the rank of metals has been obtained: Zn> Cd> Pb> Cu> Ni> Co. Due to the Variation Coefficient, the wide range of plant up-taking intensity was obtained for nickel, lead, cobalt, cadmium, and a narrow range - for zinc and copper. The results of investigation could be applied for hazard prediction of metals pollution and for assessment of the metals risk influence on natural ecosystems in Green Park zones
