THE EFFECT OF AGROPERLITE AND SAND IN THE NUTRITIOUS MEDIUM ON THE REGENERATION OF MICROCUTTINGS OF DIFFERENT HOP VARIETIES

Abstract

The results of the investigation of the hop microcuttings cultivation on nutritious mediums containing agroperlite or sand prove that the level of striking the roots of hop microcuttings of Zahrava and Alta varieties ranges between 55-85%. In addition to that the quantitative index of newly-formed roots under condition of applying agroperlite in the nutritious medium was 36 % higher compared to the same index of root formation with the application of sand. The application of agroperlite or sand in the nutritious medium does not facilitate the increase in height and mass indices of plants belonging to Alta and Zahrava hop varieties. However, the application of both agroperlite and sand as a supporting element for regenerants is considered to be possible
