Abstract

The review of the current approaches and means to using renewable energy sources (RES) in the process of drying agricultural materials (AM) has been done in this article. A comparative analysis of the technical and economic feasibility of using different types of renewable energy in the drying process has been performed. It has been shown that one of the most promising renewable energy usage in the process of drying agricultural materials is the usage of pyrolysis plants and gas generators. Our studies demonstrate efficacy of biofuels in the process of post harvest handling of agricultural products. Determination rational structural and technological parameters and modes of drying on the basis of adapting to the available raw materials for pyrolysis plants and gas generators require further investigation
